Motherland is central Anatolia, Ankara. It is known as
Angora rabbit in the world. It is the only rabbit that we
can take wool from among all kinds of rabbits.In 1723 it
taken by English salesmen to French and then spread to the
world. According to the different sources, it is sent to the
French monarch as a gift and according to Nachtsheim, it is
taken in 1723 through Blacksea to French and then to England
and cured there.
Angora rabbit is the eldest one in the world but then it is
selected due to the country climate and named as French,
German, English, Giant, Satin etc.
